The super talented modeller, Andreas Rossides, had a back injury and was missing from our office this week. So I made this little feel better card and we went to visit him. Hope to see you back in action soon Andreas!
In one of my previous jobs I was asked to do a small presentation to some board members about what storyboarding was. I thought the best way would be to illustrate it...
I made these while I was supervising on LPS as some of the board artist were interested in some exercises to get a better grasp of perspective. I'm no master of perspective, but I always found that moving the camera around in 3 dimensional space was always a very helpful way to get a grasp on it, so I made these little exercises.
The first one, Rotating a cube, I got from PERSPECTIVE 5: Rotation and Camera Lenses by ModernDayJames. His channel is full of drawing tips and well worth a look!
When I took over as a storyboard supervisor on Littlest Pet Shop I decided to put together a storyboard bible to help unify the visual language of the show and have something to hand out to new storyboard artists/revisionists as well as when handing out storyboard tests.
Obviously these are not meant to be rules for storyboarding in general, it was meant specifically for LPS to help sort out some of the challenges and preferences we had on that show.
